Is Corian® Solid Surface stain resistant?
Corian® Solid Surface is stain-resistant. Because Corian® Solid Surface is nonporous, stains can't penetrate the surface, so it's easy to clean and maintain. Unlike natural stone, Corian® Solid Surface never requires sealing.
Is Corian® Solid Surface heat resistant?
We do not recommend placing a hot pot directly on Corian®Solid Surface . Although Corian® Solid Surface remains stable and undamaged in temperatures up to 212°F (100°C), high heat or flame will damage your surface. In most cases, this damage can be repaired. To protect your Corian® Solid Surface from heat damage, always use a hot pad or a trivet with rubber feet when using hot pots, or heat-generating appliances like electric skillets or electric cooking pots.
How do I clean my Corian® Solid Surface?
Corian® Solid Surface is easy to clean. Soapy water or an ammonia-based cleaner is all that is necessary for day-to-day care of your Corian® Solid Surface. Minor scratches, burns or discoloration are also easy to repair. Major damage should be repaired by a Certified Fabricator/Installer of Corian® Solid Surface. No, Corian® Solid Surface is nonporous. Unlike natural stone, it never needs sealing making it easy to live with! Corian® Solid Surface is a beautiful, maintenance-free surface that you're sure to enjoy for many years to come.
What is the easiest way to measure my countertop?
In order to get a square-foot measurement, measure the length and width of your countertop. Multiply these numbers together. If you've measured in inches, divide the result by 144 to get to approximate square footage. Click to view a helpful diagram.
